Privacy Policy
In the course of providing legal services to our clients, the attorneys at Begos Horgan & Brown will, at times, receive nonpublic personal information from our clients. For purposes of this policy, "nonpublic personal information" means information capable of being associated with a particular individual through one or more identifiers, including, but not limited to, a social security number, a driver's license number, a state identification card number, an account number, a credit or debit card number, a passport number, an alien registration number, or a health insurance identification number. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that the public has access to through government sources or general access media.
In accordance with the provisions of applicable State and Federal laws, it is the policy of Begos Horgan & Brown to safeguard and protect the confidentiality of nonpublic personal information, to prohibit its unlawful disclosure, to limit access to such information, and to render such information unreadable prior to its disposal. The firm will report any security breaches as required by law.
In some situations, we may find it necessary to provide nonpublic personal information to other organizations, such as a client's accountant, realtor, or insurance company, in order to obtain information or assist us in providing legal services. When such disclosures are made, we will request that the third party to whom disclosure is made protect and preserve the confidentiality of the nonpublic personal information. If our clients do not want us to make such disclosures they may direct us not to do so.
