Kathleen M. Merrigan is an associate with the firm. She brings over seven years of experience in financial services and legal work. Kathleen works primarily on cases involving real estate and trusts & estates.
Her day-to-day practice includes:
- Preparing for and attending real estate closings
- Handling legal issues that arise in the course of real estate transactions
- Handling Landlord/Tenant-related issues for various cooperatives and condominiums
- Administration of probate matters and other estate issues
Prior to joining Begos Horgan & Brown, Kathleen was a Vice President at The Abernathy MacGregor Group, a financial communications firm, where she provided communications counsel to financial services companies. Prior to Abernathy, she was an associate in the general litigation department of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Kathleen is a member of the Westchester Women's Bar Association. She is admitted to practice law in New York.
Kathleen received her law degree from Boston College Law School (J.D.) and did her undergraduate work at Boston College (B.A).
