Begos Horgan & Brown Adds New Practice in Employment Law
WESTPORT, CT, Feb. 27, 2009 — Today's dynamic employment scene is causing one Westport law firm to add a new practice area – Employment Law. The firm's new practice represents both individuals and employers in matters that involve the complex web of laws regulating everything from working conditions, to employees' leave rights, to how and when an employee can be disciplined or fired.
The firm's ability to represent both employers and employees stems from the background of the attorneys in the practice group. Attorneys Patrick Begos and Daniel Green have gained valuable insight working on both sides of the desk, having worked with both employers and employees.
Patrick W. Begos is a founding member of the firm and senior partner in the Westport office. He brings over 20 years of litigation, arbitration, mediation and negotiation to this practice area. He has counseled employers and employees in severance negotiations, and represented employers and employees in contract and discrimination claims in state and federal courts.
Attorney Daniel Green has extensive experience in employment counseling and litigation. He was previously an attorney with Jackson Lewis LLP in Stamford, a nationwide workplace firm that has represented employers for over 50 years. Attorney Green has extensive experience representing both management and employees on workplace law issues.
